About Alicia
Born in 1992 in the Midwestern United States, Alicia began her musical journey at the age of four with piano, but her studies quickly expanded to include vocal training at age 11. After training in Vocal Performance and opera at Millikin University, Illinois State University, and Wesleyan University, respectively, Alicia embarked on extensive global travels to deepen her study of classical music.
Her journey has taken her from immersive opera training in Italy, to in-depth choral studies in the Baltic States, as well as intensive cultural explorations in Spain and Mexico, and even a performance at the prestigious Carnegie Hall. In recent years, Alicia has applied focus not only to performance, but to classical composition, and particularly enjoys blending classical Western musical forms with historical Middle Eastern instrumentation and influence.
Alicia believes that classical music is for everyone, and captivates audiences with her innovative approach to this timeless art form. As an avid proponent of the power of community, Alicia reintroduces classical music from a fresh perspective, blending traditional melodies with a contemporary attitude.
